About The Position
As a Security Patrol Officer - Tech Company - Overnight in Los Gatos, CA, you will serve and safeguard clients in a range of industries such as Tech/Media/Telecom, and more. Requirements
- At least 1 year of security-related experience is required.
- Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
- Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
- As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
- Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
- As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
- Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
- A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.
Nice To Haves
- Customer service experience is preferred.
- Comfort using a computer and/or tablet is preferred.
- A guard card and/or license is preferred.
- Loss prevention experience is preferred.
Responsibilities
- Provide customer service to employees, visitors, and/or contractors by carrying out security-related procedures, site-specific policies, and when appropriate, emergency response activities at a dynamic technology and media location.
- Respond to incidents, unusual activity, and/or critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, escalating concerns through appropriate channels and documenting observations in a timely way.
- Conduct regular and random patrols throughout buildings, work areas, parking areas, and perimeter locations to help to deter unauthorized activity and identify conditions that may require attention.
- Monitor access points, verify credentials as directed by site policies, and assist with visitor processing and/or directional support while maintaining professional interactions.
- Support Allied Universal and site leadership by preparing clear reports, communicating relevant updates, and following post instructions for after-hours activity, deliveries, and/or special events.
