About The Position
The position involves conducting proactive and high visibility preventive patrols of Lipscomb University main campus and any off-site facilities, including all buildings and grounds associated with Lipscomb Academy. The role requires responding to dispatched calls for service and assistance, which may include medical calls, building locks/unlocks, vehicle assistance, maintenance department assistance, traffic control, safety concerns, on-campus vehicle crashes, and suspicious activity. The officer will also be responsible for safety escorts, scheduled locks/unlocks of buildings, and investigating unusual or suspicious circumstances. Enforcing parking regulations, participating in community relations activities, and developing emergency action plans are also key responsibilities. The officer must demonstrate good judgment, critical thinking skills, and maintain a professional demeanor while interacting with the university community.
