As a Screener in a healthcare location, you will welcome visitors, support access control, and help maintain an orderly environment near sensitive areas such as the morgue. You will monitor assigned areas, perform routine patrols, remain visible to help reduce security-related incidents, and communicate concerns to site leadership. Requirements

  • Have at least 1 year of security-related experience.
  • This position is located in a hospital morgue.
  • Be 21 years of age or older.
  • Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
  • Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
  • Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
  • Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
  • A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.

Nice To Haves

  • Ability to lift more than 20 pounds is preferred.
  • Alarm panel experience is preferred.

Responsibilities

  • Provide customer service by following site-specific security-related procedures and policies at a healthcare location, including supporting emergency response activities when appropriate.
  • Screen patients, visitors, vendors, and staff at designated entry points by verifying identification and/or appointments, completing required screening questions, and directing individuals to the appropriate area.
  • Monitor access points, waiting areas, and adjacent corridors for unusual activity, and report concerns according to site protocols to help to deter unauthorized access and/or disruptions.
  • Respond to incidents and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, including de-escalating conflicts and coordinating with clinical staff and/or local responders as needed.
  • Complete required documentation such as access logs, screening records, and incident reports, and communicate status updates to site leadership and/or Allied Universal supervision.
