About The Position

The Security Operations Supervisor reports toExecutive Vice-President, Operations – Access Control/Maintenance and is responsible for overseeing daily security operations to ensure the safety and protection of personnel, property, and information. This role involves managing security staff, monitoring security systems, enforcing policies, and responding to incidents promptly and effectively.

Requirements

  • Knowledge of security systems, emergency procedures, and relevant regulations.
  • Strong leadership, communication, and problem-solving skills.
  • Experience with electronic security systems and software.
  • Conflict resolution and de-escalation training.
  • High school diploma or equivalent; Associate or Bachelor’s degree preferred.
  • Minimum 3–5 years of experience in security operations, with at least 1 year in a supervisory role.
  • Other experience may be considered for the minimum qualifications.

  • Non-Typical office environment (frequent standing, walking, talking, etc.), both inside activities and outside activities.
  • Ability to stand, walk, and patrol for extended periods.
  • Capability to respond quickly in emergency situations.
  • Ability to work flexible hours, including nights, weekends, and holidays.
  • While performing the duties of this job, the employee is regularly required to stand and to reach above shoulders with hands and arms in order to file a variety of documents; use hands and fingers to input data to information system; and talk or hear in order to gather and provide information on departmental processes. The employee is often required to sit in order to process information and conduct data entry activities.

Responsibilities

  • Lead and manage a team of security accounts and officers, ensuring adherence to company policies and procedures.
  • Schedule shifts, assign duties, and monitor performance.
  • Provide training and guidance to security personnel.
  • Work with security system, including CCTV, access control, and alarm systems.
  • Conduct regular patrols and inspections of security accounts.
  • Ensure compliance with safety regulations and security protocols.
  • Enforce company security policies and procedures.
  • Assist in developing and updating security protocols.
  • Maintain accurate records of security activities and personnel.
  • Act as a point of contact for managers, employees and Board Members regarding security concerns.
  • Provide professional and courteous assistance during incidents or inquiries.
