About The Position

The Security Operations Manager is responsible for overseeing the daily operations of the security team to ensure the safety and security of personnel, property, and assets. The Security Operations Manager plays a critical role in planning, implementing, and maintaining security protocols and emergency response procedures across all facilities. This position is central to creating a culture of safety and preparedness, ensuring compliance with internal policies and external regulations, and fostering collaboration with stakeholders, law enforcement, and emergency responders.

  • Complexity of Work: This role requires critical thinking skills, effective communication, decisive judgment, and the ability to build and foster positive relationships. The incumbent must be able to lead others and take appropriate action when required. This role requires a results-driven professional with strong leadership skills, strategic thinking, and a proactive approach to identifying and mitigating risks.
  • Minimum of two (2) years of progressive experience in security operations.
  • Associate’s degree in Business Management, Criminal Justice, Security Management, or a related field. Equivalent work experience may substitute for education requirement.
  • Equivalency for degree: : High school diploma with four (4) years of related work experience.

Nice To Haves

  • Prior experience in military, healthcare, or law enforcement strongly preferred.

Responsibilities

  • Prepares detailed reports on security incidents, operational performance, and compliance with organizational and regulatory requirements.
  • Develops, implements, and monitors security policies, procedures, and protocols to align with organizational goals.
  • Manages emergency response procedures, including drills, incident investigations, and the development of improvement strategies.
  • Provides executive protection services to ensure the safety of senior leadership and key personnel.
  • Leads, trains, and supervises a team of security personnel, ensuring staff readiness, performance, and compliance with security standards.
  • Acts as the primary point of contact during security crises or critical incidents.
  • Conducts regular risk assessments, site inspections, and audits to identify vulnerabilities and recommend corrective measures.
  • Collaborates with senior leadership, law enforcement agencies, and external partners to address and mitigate security risks.
