About The Position

Athens Services Security’s mission is to deliver a safe and secure workplace for all Athens employees, facilities, and customers. The Athens Security Operations Center (ASOC) supports this mission by providing 24/7 monitoring, incident response, and risk management services across more than 37 facilities in Los Angeles, Riverside, San Bernardino, and Ventura counties. The Security Operations Jr. Analyst, also known as the Security Patrol Rover, is a hybrid role designed to provide operational flexibility. Team members will support the ASOC as entry-level analysts, assisting with monitoring and incident reporting, while also serving as roving security support for Athens facilities. Patrol Rovers will respond to staffing gaps, conduct security checks, and ensure physical controls are in place at sites. This position requires adaptability, strong communication skills, and the ability to switch between command center operations and field patrol duties.

Requirements

  • One (1) + year of experience in security, patrol operations, or customer service.
  • Valid California driver’s license with a clean driving record.
  • Strong verbal communication skills and ability to interact professionally with employees, contractors, and the public.
  • Ability to write clear, concise reports.
  • Comfortable working both in a command center environment and in the field.
  • Must be able to walk, stand, and patrol for extended periods and drive long distances between sites.
  • Willingness to work flexible shifts, including nights, weekends, and holidays.

Nice To Haves

  • Prior experience in a security operations center (SOC/GSOC) or as a security patrol officer.
  • Knowledge of basic physical security controls (locks, alarms, CCTV).
  • Familiarity with Southern California geography and road networks.
  • Bilingual (English/Spanish) communication skills.

Responsibilities

  • Assist ASOC analysts with monitoring security technologies (CCTV, access control, incident reporting platforms).
  • Triage and document incidents under the guidance of senior analysts.
  • Conduct roving patrols across Athens facilities in a company vehicle to ensure security presence and coverage.
  • Fill site security staffing gaps as directed by ASOC leadership.
  • Perform physical security checks (perimeter inspections, door checks, alarm testing, equipment verification).
  • Provide visible deterrence to theft, vandalism, and trespassing through patrol activity.
  • Support emergency response efforts (fire, medical, intrusions, hazardous conditions).
  • Deliver clear, professional reports and communications from both ASOC and field assignments.
