Director of Operations Security Operations | Multi-Site Leadership | Client-Focused Execution Position Overview We are seeking a dynamic and results-driven Director of Operations to lead, develop, and optimize large-scale security operations across multiple high-profile client accounts. This executive-level role requires a strategic thinker with strong field leadership experience, operational discipline, and a passion for building high-performing teams. The Director of Operations will oversee operational excellence, financial performance, client partnerships, and workforce development. The Director will ensure compliance and quality assurance, with consistent delivery and high service standards.

Requirements

  • Minimum 5+ years progressive leadership experience in the security industry or related field.
  • Demonstrated success directing large, high-risk, complex security operations.
  • Strong understanding of P&L management, workforce analytics, and operational KPIs.
  • Advanced security training and professional certifications highly desirable.
  • Proven ability to build and lead high-performing teams.
  • Exceptional client relationship management skills.
  • Strong communication, strategic planning, and decision-making abilities.

Responsibilities

  • Provide strategic oversight of multi-site security operations, ensuring service excellence and contract compliance.
  • Lead and mentor Operations Managers, Site Supervisors, and field personnel to drive accountability and performance.
  • Conduct regular site audits (including overnight inspections) to ensure operational integrity and compliance.
  • Oversee emergency escalation procedures and critical incident response management.
  • Serve as executive point-of-contact for key clients, building strong, trust-based partnerships.
  • Conduct routine client visits and attend board or stakeholder meetings as required.
  • Deliver weekly executive summaries highlighting operational performance, KPIs, and strategic initiatives.
  • Proactively identify opportunities to enhance service delivery and expand partnerships.
  • Manage P&L accountability for assigned accounts.
  • Monitor and reduce non-billable overtime (NBOT), turnover, and workforce inefficiencies.
  • Review invoices for accuracy and ensure financial controls are maintained.
  • Analyze KPIs, workforce metrics, and reporting systems to drive continuous improvement.
  • Recruit, develop, and retain top security talent.
  • Partner with recruiting and scheduling teams to forecast workforce needs.
  • Oversee training compliance and professional development initiatives.
  • Evaluate employee performance and implement corrective actions when necessary.
  • Ensure adherence to contract requirements, regulatory standards, and industry best practices.
  • Maintain oversight of time & attendance systems and reporting platforms.
  • Monitor vehicle, equipment, and asset management programs for proper use and care.
  • Maintain updated post orders, logs, and operational documentation.
