We are looking to hire a SOCC Officer to join our team in Houston, TX. This position reports to the Project Manager. The SOCC Officer shall provide security and protective service in accordance with the client’s corporate policies and security and crisis management plans and procedures, which may include, but are not limited to the following general tasks:

Requirements

  • Ability to complete state Security Officer certification, including the DPS online application process, fingerprints, and background investigation
  • Must have reliable transportation during all seasons
  • Must fluently speak, read, comprehend, and write in English
  • Must have High School diploma or GED
  • Ability to pass a pre-employment drug screen and periodic random drug screening
  • U.S. Citizenship

Nice To Haves

  • Current Texas Non-Commissioned Security Officer License
  • Security, military, or law enforcement experience
  • Demonstrated history of safe and successful security operations experience in highly secure facilities

Responsibilities

  • Deliver exceptional customer service to clients and visitors
  • Answer and triage incoming emergency and non-emergency phone lines
  • Serve as the primary point of contact for all communications during an incident
  • Serve as the communication hub during emergencies, maintaining situational awareness and relaying information to field personnel and management
  • Notify appropriate personnel (management, tenants, facilities) per post orders during incidents or system activations
  • Maintain accurate Communications Center logs, including all calls for service, dispatched units, and outcomes
  • Adhere to all escalation matrices and notification trees as outlined in post orders
  • Access control and physical security principles
  • Operation of intrusion alarms, production, and fire detection equipment as well as video surveillance equipment operation
  • Accurate communication of security information and procedures
  • Operation of entry and egress access control equipment
  • Roving foot patrols of interior and exterior building areas
  • Identification badge process production
  • Production of complete and detailed security incident and daily operating reports
  • Monitoring and responding to intrusion detection systems
  • Responding, as necessary, to support other life safety duties as identified in post orders and standard operating procedures
  • Any other activity as requested by Supervisor/Project Manager.
