We are seeking an experienced Security Operations Center Lead to manage our SOC team in protecting the museum's collections, visitors, and staff through strategic oversight, incident management, and operational excellence. This leadership role requires someone who can effectively manage a team of SOC Operators, optimize multi-system monitoring operations, develop and enforce standard operating procedures, and understand automated workflow logic to ensure comprehensive security coverage while balancing institutional security needs with visitor experience and the museum's educational mission. This position is based in the museum's Security Operations Center with responsibility for 24/7 operations. While primarily working standard business hours, the role requires flexibility to respond to emergencies, cover operational gaps, and maintain presence during high-activity periods including exhibition openings, special events, and institutional functions. The position requires occasional evening and weekend work. The lead must be available for emergency callback and incident response outside normal working hours. The supervisor must demonstrate sound judgment in an environment where security decisions directly impact irreplaceable cultural treasures, visitor safety, and the museum's reputation and educational mission. This position reports directly to the Security Manager.
