About The Position

Allied Universal is hiring Security Operations Center Officers to oversee a Corporate Building in the Columbus Circle of Manhattan Positions Are: Full Time Work Shifts Available: Morning, Afternoon, Evening, and Overnight Work Days Available: Candiate should be flexible Monday - Sunday Hourly payrate: $30.45 - $31.45 / hour As a Security Operations Center Officer, you will serve and safeguard clients in a range of industries such as Commercial Real Estate, Healthcare, Education, Government and more.

Requirements

  • Be at least 21 years of age
  • Possess a high school diploma or equivalent
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws. Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law
  • Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employmentA valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only
  • SOC Operator experience
  • Minimum of two years of security experience
  • Client requires proof of HS Diploma/GED
  • Knowledge of systems such as Lenel ans C-Cure

Nice To Haves

  • Knowledge of risk assessment methodologies.
  • Familiarity with emergency management protocols.
  • Advanced report writing and briefing skills.

Responsibilities

  • Provide customer service to our clients by carrying out safety and security procedures, site-specific policies and when appropriate, emergency response activities
  • Respond to incidents and critical situations in a calm, problem solving manner
  • Conduct regular and random patrols around the business and perimeter. Working environments and conditions may vary by client site.
  • Monitor closed circuit television systems and alarms.
  • Monitor and operate facility computers systems regularly, as assigned.
  • Handle security issues or emergency situations appropriately. Contact Emergency Services, such as EMT, Fire Dept., etc.
  • Analyze security data, incident reports, and trends to identify vulnerabilities or risks
  • Conduct threat assessments and provide actionable intelligence to leadership.
  • Respond to and document security incidents, ensuring proper escalation when necessary.
  • Coordinate with local law enforcement, emergency services, and internal stakeholders during incidents.
  • Develop and maintain security policies, procedures, and standard operating guidelines.
  • Prepare daily, weekly, and monthly security reports for management.
  • Support investigations through evidence collection, documentation, and analysis.
  • Conduct audits of security systems and recommend improvements.
  • Assist in training security personnel on protocols and emergency response procedures.
