About The Position

We are seeking a vigilant, tech-savvy, and highly organized SOC Operator to join our security team. As the central nervous system of our security department, you will be responsible for monitoring surveillance feeds, managing emergency communications, and triaging critical information in real-time. The ideal candidate thrives in high-pressure environments, possesses exceptional multitasking abilities, and can maintain a calm, professional demeanor while coordinating emergency responses.

Requirements

  • Must be able to stand and or walk up to sixteen (16) hours consistently
  • Education/Experience: High School Diploma or equivalent required (Associate's degree preferred). Previous experience in security, dispatch, or emergency services is a significant plus.
  • Must pass a 5-panel drug testing including but not limited to testing for THC, PCP, cocaine, amphetamines and opiates.
  • Must be well poised, converse in written and spoken English and have the ability to communicate
  • Computer Literacy: Advanced proficiency in Windows-based applications. Must be comfortable navigating multiple software programs and toggling between several monitors simultaneously.
  • Typing Proficiency: Minimum typing speed of 45+ WPM with high accuracy.
  • Strong Communication: Excellent verbal and written English skills. Must be able to relay complex information clearly over the radio and phone, especially during high-stress incidents.
  • High-Level Multitasking: Proven ability to process auditory information (radio/phone) while performing visual tasks (monitoring cameras) and manual tasks (typing/data entry).
  • Critical Thinking: Ability to make quick, sound decisions under pressure with minimal supervision.
  • Must maintain composure in dealing with authorities, executives, clients, staff and the public, occasionally under conditions of urgency and in pressure situations
  • May be required to work overtime without advance notice
  • Ability to remain seated and alert at a monitoring station for extended periods.
  • Resilience to 'alarm fatigue' and the ability to maintain focus during low-activity periods.
  • Comfort working in a 'command center' environment with moderate noise from radios and phones.

Responsibilities

  • Surveillance & Monitoring: Actively monitor multiple CCTV camera feeds and integrated alarm systems to detect unauthorized access, safety hazards, or suspicious activity.
  • Emergency Dispatch & Triage: Act as the primary point of contact for all incoming emergency and non-emergency calls. Rapidly assess situations, prioritize responses (triage), and dispatch security, fire, or medical personnel.
  • Multitasking & Incident Coordination: Simultaneously manage radio traffic, answer multi-line phone systems, and monitor digital alarms without compromising accuracy or response time.
  • Detailed Documentation: Maintain precise, real-time digital logs and incident reports. Ensure all events are documented with high grammatical accuracy and detail.
  • Systems Operation: Navigate and operate various security software suites, including access control, visitor management, and Video Management Systems (VMS).
