About The Position

St. Moritz Security Services, Inc. is seeking an Access Control Officer to join our team. This position is responsible for providing security services at assigned locations, focusing on observing and reporting. The officer will conduct foot, vehicular, golf cart, and bicycle patrols, monitor activities, report suspicious behavior, and respond to emergencies. The role requires adherence to site-specific policies and procedures, as well as participation in training programs. The position is available in Kendall with all shifts open.

Requirements

  • Minimum high school diploma or equivalent required.
  • Current or prior military experience or college education in the security field desirable.
  • 1-3 years of professional-level work experience preferred, especially in security, law enforcement, or customer service.
  • Valid registration/permit/license required by the state of employment.
  • Successful completion of a background investigation and drug/alcohol test as required.
  • Current state driver's license and clean driving record may be required.
  • Reliable transportation to consistently get to work on time is required.
  • Ability to write effective, concise, and legible reports.
  • Demonstrated customer service orientation and ability to de-escalate situations.
  • Energetic and focused personality with the ability to manage multiple assignments.
  • Professional communication skills and good independent judgment.

Nice To Haves

  • Experience in scheduling, operations, or other functions of the security industry.
  • Prior experience in law enforcement or military service.

Responsibilities

  • Execute security services as outlined in the Post Order Manual and company policies.
  • Conduct walking and vehicular patrols of assigned areas.
  • Identify and report security threats and unsafe conditions.
  • Perform site-specific duties including customer service and loss prevention.
  • Write detailed incident reports and notify appropriate personnel.
  • Know and implement site-specific policies and emergency response activities.
  • Follow company procedures and maintain acceptable attendance and grooming standards.
  • Participate in required orientation and training programs.
  • Respond to incidents during shifts according to Post Orders and Use of Force Policy.
  • Conduct security and customer service functions as directed.
