About the position
The Security Officer at David Yurman is responsible for ensuring the safety and security of employees and physical property. This role involves enforcing security policies, monitoring surveillance systems, and responding to security incidents, thereby playing a vital part in maintaining a secure environment.
Responsibilities
- Enforce the company's Security Policy and Procedures.
- Protect employees and physical property by foot patrolling and investigating suspicious activity.
- Monitor alarm and camera systems.
- Act as first responder to security incidents and provide guidance during emergencies.
- Secure product, lock down building, and secure assets.
- Assist with building function and recovery efforts.
- Maintain detailed log of visitors.
- Drive company vehicle in the tristate area.
- Ensure appropriate merchandise records are maintained.
- Conduct inventory of the product after company sales.
- Execute messenger deliveries as directed by the Manager of Security.
- Provide Command Center support by overseeing CCTV and fielding inquiries.
- Complete Incident Reports.
Requirements
- Must possess full carry permit within NYC and NJ.
- Must possess HR218 Certification.
- Must hold a valid driving license in good standing.
- Diligent attention to safety and security.
- Flexibility to work full-time, including weekends.
- Ability to lift up to 50 lbs.
- Minimum of High School Diploma.
Nice-to-haves
- Former Police/Military preferred but not required.
