About The Position
Discovery Land Company is seeking a Security Officer to join their team at The Summit Club in Las Vegas, NV. This role is integral to maintaining the safety and security of all members, guests, and employees at the club. As a Summit Security Officer, you will be part of a highly professional team of safety, security, and medical providers, and you will be encouraged to contribute your knowledge and skills for the benefit of the community and department. Your primary responsibility will be to deter, detect, and respond to potential or active threats directed at Summit members, guests, employees, and property. You will be expected to act in accordance with the guidelines set forth by the Summit Security Department policy. In this position, you will maintain a safe and secure residential and working environment by identifying, treating, and reducing threats and workplace risks. You will conduct quarterly proficiency and development training, which includes firearm qualification and tactics training, as well as monthly sustainment training. You will also be responsible for maintaining training standards that cover various aspects of security, including Use of Force knowledge, firearm application, defensive tactics, crisis management, and emergency response. Your role will also involve providing medical response capabilities to members, guests, and employees while on club property, investigating significant incidents, and providing emergency management advice in the event of a natural disaster. As a Security Officer, you will enforce the club's health and safety policies and maintain a personal “concierge” security approach for all members, guests, and employees while on property. You will need to effectively manage Use of Force incidents, limiting liability, minimizing disruptions, and preventing injuries. This position requires a strong commitment to compliance with local, state, and federal regulations, as well as adherence to company service and operating standards.
