That’s why we created the Security Officer – Part Time Enhanced position: a flexible, dependable option for individuals looking to supplement their income, gain hands-on experience, or work toward a full-time career with the industry leader. As a Security Officer Enhanced Part Time Site Patrol in Philadelphia, PA, this role is designed to provide reliable, consistent hours at an assigned site with the flexibility for you to earn more by picking-up additional shifts when it works for you. This role works with a Fixed-Shift Commitment (“Anchor Shifts”) where you are hired for a designated site and weekly shift that serves as your reliable base schedule, requiring a six (6) month commitment. Additionally, through the Earn More, Claim-A-Shift Program, you may pick-up extra shifts via a scheduling platform to increase earnings and gain experience across multiple sites, allowing for part-time hours one week and full-time the next. This role is ideal for candidates seeking part-time employment with flexibility, income stability, and opportunities to build-up to a full-time schedule of up to 40 hours per week, with the option to scale back when needed.

Requirements

  • Have at least 2 years of security-related experience.
  • Be at least 21 years of age.
  • Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
  • Be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
  • Be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
  • Meet licensing requirements subject to state and/or local laws and regulations prior to employment.

Nice To Haves

  • Customer service experience is preferred.
  • Access control and/or badge experience is preferred.

Responsibilities

  • Provide customer service by carrying out security-related procedures, location-specific policies, and/or appropriate emergency response activities across an educational campus environment.
  • Respond to incidents, disturbances, and/or critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner while communicating with staff, students, visitors, and local first responders as needed.
  • Conduct regular and random patrols of academic buildings, residence areas, parking lots, walkways, and perimeter locations to help to deter unauthorized activity and/or suspicious behavior.
  • Monitor access points and campus activity, report hazards or maintenance concerns, and document security-related incidents, observations, and/or policy violations in a clear and timely manner.
