Now Interviewing for Full Time Security Officers! Working in conjunction with a Metropolitan Transit Task Force and our client security teams. MetroLink security professionals provide safety and security of riders on the transit light rail system, station platforms throughout the Greater St. Louis region. Customer service skills are a high priority. This is an outdoor posted position. Duties will include post security until relieved. Provide customer service to visitors, staff, and/or the public by carrying out security-related procedures, location-specific policies, and when appropriate, emergency response activities at a government location. Respond to incidents, disturbances, and/or critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, documenting observations and sharing details with appropriate personnel. Conduct regular and random patrols throughout buildings, grounds, entrances, parking areas, and perimeter locations to help identify unusual activity and/or potential concerns. Monitor access points and observe activity within the location to help support authorized entry, report suspicious behavior, and/or follow site protocols for visitors and contractors. Support daily operations by preparing reports, maintaining accurate activity logs, and communicating with site contacts and/or first responders when needed.

Requirements

1 year Security Experience
Computer Literacy
Have at least 1 year of security-related experience.
Be at least 21 years of age.
Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.

Nice To Haves

Ability to Lift 20+ Pounds
The ability to lift more than 20 pounds is preferred.
Experience with handcuffs, pepper spray, and baton is preferred.
Access control and badge experience is preferred.
