Job Description As a Security Officer - Unarmed Patrol Specialist in Delphi, IN , you will serve and safeguard clients in a range of industries such as Food/Beverage, and more. As an unarmed patrol officer with Allied Universal at a food and beverage location, you will monitor and patrol assigned areas, complete routine rounds, and stay highly visible to help to deter security-related incidents. You will document observations, respond to concerns, and provide clear, professional communication and customer service to employees and visitors. Requirements
- CPR Certification is preferred and may be completed post hire.
- Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
- Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
- As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws. Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
- As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
- Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
- A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.
Responsibilities
- Provide customer service to our clients by carrying out security-related procedures, site-specific policies and when appropriate, emergency response activities at a food and beverage production location.
- Respond to incidents and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, including fire and/or medical alarms, equipment-related hazards, and visitor issues.
- Conduct regular and random patrols of production areas, warehouses, offices, parking areas, and the perimeter, with working environments and conditions varying by post and shift.
- Monitor access points and help to deter unauthorized entry by checking identification, logging visitors and/or vendors, and directing deliveries to designated areas per site policy.
- Complete reports and documentation for patrol findings, incidents, and unusual activity, and communicate updates to Allied Universal leadership and site contacts as needed.
