As an Access Control Officer with Allied Universal in a healthcare setting, you will monitor entrances and patrol designated areas to help deter security-related incidents and maintain a welcoming atmosphere for everyone onsite. You will be visible throughout the location, provide outstanding customer service, and communicate clearly with staff and visitors. Requirements

  • Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
  • Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
  • Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
  • Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
  • A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.

Nice To Haves

  • CPR and First Aid are preferred.
  • Comfortable using a computer or tablet is preferred.
  • Customer service experience is preferred.

Responsibilities

  • Monitor and control access to the healthcare facility, verifying credentials of individuals entering and exiting the location.
  • Assist visitors, patients, and staff by providing information and directions as needed, while maintaining a professional presence.
  • Carry out security-related procedures and follow site-specific policies in accordance with Allied Universal standards.
  • Respond to incidents and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, including medical emergencies or disturbances.
  • Conduct regular and random patrols around the facility and perimeter to help to deter unauthorized access and/or suspicious activity.
  • Document and report all security-related incidents, observations, and activities according to site protocols.
  • Support emergency response activities and work collaboratively with facility staff and emergency personnel when required.
