About The Position

As a Security Officer in Dallas, TX, you will serve and safeguard clients in a range of industries such as Logistics & Distribution, and more. As a Screener with Allied Universal at a logistics and distribution location, you will help to deter security-related incidents by monitoring and patrolling assigned areas. Your visible presence and commitment to exceptional customer service will contribute to a secure environment for employees and visitors. You'll use technology such as computers or tablets to support your duties, all while embodying our values of teamwork, integrity, and putting people first.

Requirements

Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.

Nice To Haves

Ability to lift up to 20 lbs is preferred.
Customer service experience is preferred.
Being comfortable using a computer or tablet is preferred.

Responsibilities

Provide customer service by carrying out security-related procedures, following site-specific policies, and responding to emergency situations as appropriate.
Respond to incidents and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, helping to maintain order within the logistics and distribution location.
Conduct regular and random patrols throughout the facility and perimeter to help to deter unauthorized activity and/or access.
Monitor entry and exit points to help to deter prohibited items and/or unauthorized individuals from entering the logistics and distribution location.
Communicate professionally with staff, visitors, and/or delivery personnel, addressing inquiries and providing directions as needed.
Document and report any suspicious activity, incidents, or security-related concerns according to Allied Universal and site-specific protocols.
Assist with access control procedures, including verifying identification and screening individuals as required by site guidelines.
Support emergency response activities and follow established protocols during drills and real incidents.
