Learn more: aus.com/earnmore. As a Screener at a busy logistics and distribution location, you will help support a secure environment by screening packages and monitoring access points. You will use screening tools, follow post procedures, communicate clearly with team members and site staff, and help identify security-related concerns while delivering a welcoming customer service experience. Requirements

  • Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
  • Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
  • Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
  • Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
  • A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.

Nice To Haves

  • Being comfortable using a computer or tablet is preferred.
  • Being able to lift more than 20 lbs is preferred.
  • Having X-Ray screening experience is preferred.
  • Having loss prevention experience is preferred.
  • Having customer service experience is preferred.

Responsibilities

  • Provide customer service to our clients by carrying out security-related procedures, site-specific policies, and when appropriate, emergency response activities at a logistics and distribution location.
  • Conduct entry screening for employees, visitors, and/or vendors, including checking identification, verifying authorization, and monitoring walk-through detectors and/or X-ray equipment as assigned.
  • Support inbound and outbound operations by monitoring access points for pedestrian and vehicle traffic, observing for unusual activity, and documenting discrepancies in accordance with post orders.
  • Respond to incidents and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, including coordinating notifications and completing required incident reports.
  • Conduct regular and random patrols around the business and perimeter, with working environments and conditions that may vary by location and operational activity.
