As an Allied Universal Screener at a fast-paced logistics and distribution location, you will help support day-to-day security-related operations by greeting team members and visitors, verifying access, conducting screenings and inspections, monitoring activity at key entry points, and documenting unusual conditions. You will communicate clearly, stay visible, and partner with site leadership to help uphold a culture that is agile, reliable, innovative, people-first, and grounded in integrity and teamwork. Position Type: Part Time Pay Rate: $19.00 / Hour Job Schedule: Day Time Mon 11:00 PM - 07:00 AM Fri 11:00 PM - 07:00 AM Sun 11:00 PM - 07:00 AM

Requirements

  • Customer service experience is preferred.
  • Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
  • Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
  • Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
  • Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
  • A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.

Responsibilities

  • Provide customer service to our clients by carrying out security-related procedures, site-specific policies, and when appropriate, emergency response activities at a logistics and distribution location.
  • Conduct screening of employees, visitors, and contractors, including verification of identification, adherence to access requirements, and directing individuals to the proper check-in areas.
  • Perform package, bag, and/or vehicle screening as required by site policy, documenting and reporting irregularities or prohibited items to site leadership and Allied Universal management.
  • Respond to incidents and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, including initiating notifications, completing incident reports, and supporting post-incident follow-up.
  • Conduct regular and random patrols around the facility, docks, trailer yards, and perimeter, checking doors, gates, and loading areas to help to deter unauthorized access and/or suspicious activity.
