About The Position

Since 1997, the City Museum has been a family destination, creating memories worth repeating. JOB SUMMARY: Controls access to the property, screens guests, and ensures that they are following museum policies and procedures. Periodically conducts patrols of the property. Shift times range from 6:45 AM - 12:00 AM+

Requirements

Must be at least 21 years of age.
A minimum of two years’ previous security experience is preferred.
Must have or have ability to obtain a Metropolitan Security license
Possess good oral and written English skills and be able to communicate with guests and other employees effectively.
Available to work overtime.
Available to work weekends and holidays.
Must be able to walk and stand for up to eight hours a shift.
Requires occasional lifts and carries up to 50 pounds.

Nice To Haves

Law enforcement training or criminal justice classes preferred.
EMT license a plus
Knowledge of EVolv or other weapons detection system(s) a plus

Responsibilities

Screen and greet guests and employees entering the property and making sure that they are authorized to enter.
Responsible for reports and enforcing all museum policies at all gates into and out of the museum.
Patrol the property to make sure locations are secure and there are no individuals trespassing.
Opening and closing procedures for the building.
Responding to calls for service.
Escort guests/employees off property when applicable.
Must maintain a safe, clean, and professional work environment.
Complete paperwork and incident reports as necessary.
Other duties as assigned.
