Security Officer - Day Shift (8am-4pm)

Paid time off is earned based on local policy and increases with employment length. The Security Officer is responsible for protecting the casino, its employees, guests, and company assets. This includes guarding monetary transfers, ensuring adherence to safety regulations, assisting with disturbances, and promoting outstanding guest service and confidentiality. The role involves performing duties to comply with Margaritaville’s mandated requirements, such as gaming-related drops and card/dice reconciliation, and proactively protecting guests, property, and staff from harm or loss through alertness and diligence. Security Officers will patrol buildings and grounds or stand watch at assigned posts to ensure guest comfort, safety, and security, and greet all guests and staff professionally.
Requirements
- High School Diploma/GED; or six months to one year of work experience in customer service.
- Must be able to Obtain a LA Gaming License and L.A.C.T.
- Ability to Stand, bend, lift, walk, and stop throughout duration of shift.
- Excel both independently and as part of a team.
- Ability to tolerate second-hand smoke, noise, and bright lights.
- Ability to work at a fast pace in often crowded/noisy environment.

Responsibilities
- Provides protection for the casino, all employees, guests, and company assets.
- Guards all transfers of monies and chips on the casino floor as well as the physical transportation of fills and credits.
- Responsible for adherence to health, fire, and safety regulations; identifies potential safety hazards and reports such to the appropriate personnel.
- Supports and maintains the Margaritaville Resort Casino courtesy guidelines and promotes outstanding guest service.
- Assist with disturbances and intoxicated guests as needed.
- Always promote safety and confidentiality.
- Perform and complete all duties necessary to comply with Margaritaville’s mandated requirements, which include but are not limited to, gaming-related drops, card and dice reconciliation, inspection, cancellation, and destruction, re-issuance of poker cards, and transport of locked chip carriers and documents to and from the Chip Bank.
- Through alertness, diligence, specified procedures, and proactive attention to potential danger and security risks, the Security Officer shall protect our guests, our property, and our staff from harm or loss.
- Patrol, periodically, buildings and grounds of the facility, as directed; or stand watch, as directed, at an assigned Security post, in order to oversee the comfort, safety, and security of our guests.
- Greet all guests and staff in a positive, friendly, and professional manner.
