About The Position

To help aid in the creation of this new casino culture, Parkwest Bicycle Casino is looking to hire a security guard. Our Security Guards are responsible for providing a safe environment by ensuring the security of the casino, employees and the guests. A successful Security Guard will possess keen observation skills and understand the basic card room games while demonstrating a high level of customer service to various personality types from multiple cultures.
Requirements
- High school diploma, G.E.D., or equivalent.
- Prior related experience of at least 1 year.
- Must possess a valid California Guard Card.
- Must have CPR & First Aid/AED.
- Valid California Driver's License and an acceptable driving record as established by the Hotel & Casino's insurance carrier.
- Open availability to work Day, Swing or Graveyard.
- Must be able to work weekends and holidays.
- MUST BE 21 YEARS OLD.
- Must be able to obtain and maintain a current California gambling establishment employee permit, badge or license.
- Must provide evidence of employment eligibility in the U.S.
- Must be able to pass a mandatory drug test, criminal background and credit check.
Responsibilities
- Ensures the protection of Parkwest Bicycle Casino property and assets and the safety of customers and team members from his/her changing during the shift.
- Makes timely notification to the supervisor of any observation or incident, which may be inimical to the interests of Parkwest Bicycle Casino.
- Participates in completing box pull, ensuring that it is done efficiently and accurately and in a timely manner.
- Responds to customer and team member requests for service in a professional and courteous manner.
- Must be able to communicate clearly and effectively in person, by telephone and over the radio.
- Has a thorough knowledge of emergency and safety procedures.
- Must be available to work any shift including weekends and holidays and overtime when necessary.
- General knowledge of California criminal laws and security procedures.
- Possess all current permits.
- Other job related duties as assigned.
