DIRECTLY SUPERVISES: None SOCIAL SKILLS AND EXPERIENCE: Must have an outgoing, energetic, and enthusiastic attitude. Must be comfortable initiating conversations and creating a fun environment with our guests. EDUCATION and/or EXPERIENCE : A minimum of a high school diploma or general education degree (GED), six months or more related security type experience and training, or a combination of education and security experience/training. LANGUAGE SKILLS: Ability to read and comprehend written instructions, directions, correspondence and memos. The ability to write reports, fill out forms and statements in details and clarity. The ability to verbally present information to patrons, clients, supervisors and employees in a clear, professional and effective manner. MATHEMATICAL SKILLS: Ability to add, subtract, multiply, and divide in all units of measure, using whole numbers, common fractions, and decimals. Ability to compute rate, ratio, and percent and be able to draw and interpret bar graphs. REASONING ABILITY : Ability to apply and use common sense in the carrying out of instructions and directions that are given in written, verbal or diagram form. The ability to deal with problems involving variables or standard situations among patrons and/or employees. REQUIRED PERSONAL COMPETENCIES: Responsible for fostering a fun environment. Responsible for being gracious to all guests and co-workers. Responsible for promoting a positive influence in the community and participating in company-sponsored events. Enthusiastically supports, actively promotes and demonstrates superior customer service in accordance with department and company standards and programs. CERTIFICATES, LICENSES, REGISTRATIONS: Must be able to obtain a license from the Indiana Gaming Commission and the Indiana Horse Racing Commission. Must be able to pass Required certification in First Aid Training and any other certification that may be needed for the position. Some positions of Security Officer require Indiana state police certification. Must possess and maintain a valid Indiana driver's license. PHYSICAL DEMANDS: The employee is regularly required to talk and hear in a moderate noise environment. The employee is frequently required to stand, walk or sit for extended periods of time. The employee will be required to use their hands to finger, handle or feel, to reach with their arms and hands, to climb or balance, and to stoop, kneel, crawl or crouch. The employee must regularly lift and/or move up to 10 pounds of weight and frequently lift and/or move up to 25 pounds of weight. Specific vision requirements include close vision, distance vision, color vision, peripheral vision, depth perception and the ability to adjust focus.
