The Security Officer ensures the safety and security of members, guests, employees, and property by maintaining a visible presence, monitoring premises, and responding to incidents in a prompt and professional manner. This role requires vigilance, excellent communication skills, and a service-oriented approach in a hospitality setting.

Requirements

  • Previous security, law enforcement, or military experience preferred.
  • Strong observation and problem-solving skills.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
  • Ability to remain calm under pressure and handle sensitive situations with discretion.
  • Physically able to walk and stand for extended periods, climb stairs, and respond quickly in emergencies.
  • CPR, First Aid, and AED certification preferred or ability to obtain within 90 days of hire.
  • Must be available to work nights, weekends, holidays, and special events as scheduled.
  • Background check, drug screen, and motor vehicle record (MVR) check required.

Responsibilities

  • Patrol club grounds, buildings, and parking areas to prevent and detect signs of intrusion, theft, vandalism, and other safety hazards.
  • Greet and assist members, guests, and staff while providing a visible and reassuring security presence.
  • Monitor surveillance cameras, alarm systems, and access control points.
  • Respond quickly to incidents, emergencies, and disturbances, following established protocols.
  • Prepare clear and accurate written reports of incidents, inspections, and safety concerns.
  • Enforce club policies and procedures in a courteous yet firm manner.
  • Assist with lost and found procedures and property retrieval.
  • Support special events by managing crowd control, directing traffic, and ensuring safe entry/exit of attendees.
  • Collaborate with management and emergency personnel when situations require escalation.
  • Perform other duties as assigned to maintain a safe and secure environment.
