Job Description As a Security Officer - Utilities Site Patrol - Full Time in Houston, TX , you will serve and safeguard clients in a range of industries such as Utilities, and more. As an unarmed patrol officer with Allied Universal, you will help to deter security-related incidents by conducting routine patrols and maintaining a visible presence at a utilities location. Your role will involve providing exceptional customer service and communication while monitoring assigned areas. This position requires driving responsibilities. Requirements
- A Transportation Security Administration issued Transportation Worker Identification Credential is required.
- A valid driver’s license is required in accordance with Allied Universal driver policy requirements.
- A guard card or license is preferred.
- Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
- Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
- As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
- Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
- As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
- Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
- A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.
Responsibilities
- Provide customer service to clients by carrying out security-related procedures, site-specific policies, and when appropriate, emergency response activities at utility locations.
- Respond to incidents and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, maintaining professionalism at all times.
- Conduct regular and random patrols around the business and perimeter to help to deter unauthorized activity and/or suspicious behavior.
- Working environments and conditions may vary by location.
- Observe and report any unusual activity or security-related concerns to Allied Universal management and/or client representatives.
- Maintain awareness of the surroundings and be alert to potential security-related issues affecting the utility location.
- Complete detailed and accurate reports of daily activities, incidents, and/or observations as required by Allied Universal and client protocols.
