Job Description As a Security Officer - State Tax Office Patrol in Los Angeles, CA , you will serve and safeguard clients in a range of industries such as Government, and more. As a Security Officer supporting a government location, you will monitor and patrol assigned areas, conduct routine patrols, and stay visible to help reduce security-related incidents. You will document observations, communicate clearly with staff and visitors, and respond to situations with professionalism and calm service. Requirements

Have 1+ years of security-related experience.
Client requires proof of HS Diploma/GED.
Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws. Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.

Responsibilities

Provide customer service to visitors, staff, and/or contractors at a government location by following post orders, site-specific policies, and security-related procedures.
Respond to incidents and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, including de-escalation and requesting assistance from on-site personnel and/or emergency services as needed.
Conduct regular and random patrols of buildings, parking areas, and the perimeter to help to deter unwanted activity and identify hazards, suspicious conditions, and/or policy violations.
Control access by verifying identification, monitoring entry points, managing visitor logs, and directing individuals to appropriate areas in accordance with site requirements.
Complete timely written reports and maintain activity logs, documenting patrols, incidents, and service requests, and communicating updates to Allied Universal supervision and site contacts.
