Job Description As a Airport Security Officer in Kahului, HI , you’ll play a vital role in maintaining the safety and security of all passengers, staff, and airport facilities. Your role involves conducting routine patrols, engaging with the public, and delivering exceptional customer service through clear communication. Premium paid shall be based on the position actually worked by the employee. Job Schedule: Day Time Mon 01:30 PM - 10:00 PM Tue 01:30 PM - 10:00 PM Fri 01:30 PM - 10:00 PM

Requirements

• Valid Driver's License
• 21+ years of age
• Have ability to pass a background check, drug screening, and physical exam
• Ability to obtain AOA badge (Federal Background Check in ordinance with DOT requirements)
• Be at least 21 years of age.
• Being comfortable using a computer or tablet is preferred.
• Be at least 21 years of age for unarmed roles; 22+ years of age for armed roles.
• Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
• A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.

Responsibilities

• Provide customer service to visitors, employees, and/or travelers by following site-specific security-related procedures, access requirements, and emergency response activities at a government aviation location.
• Conduct regular and random patrols throughout terminal areas, adjacent facilities, and perimeter zones to help identify unusual activity, unsecured areas, and/or policy violations, and report findings as required.
• Respond to incidents, alarms, and/or requests for assistance in a calm, problem-solving manner, including directing foot traffic, supporting evacuations, and coordinating notifications to appropriate personnel.
• Monitor entry points and controlled areas, verify credentials as required, and help maintain orderly access by enforcing site rules and reporting unauthorized entry attempts.
• Complete required reports, incident documentation, and shift logs, and communicate pertinent information to site representatives and Allied Universal supervision.
