How you’ll contribute A Security Officer who excels in this role will: Observes and reports activities and incidents for all Raleigh General Hospital properties. Providing security and safety property and personnel at Raleigh General Hospital. Makes periodic tours and documents checking for irregularities, perform fire watch when required. Preserves order and may act to enforce regulations and directives pertaining to personnel, patients, visitors, and premises. Frequent valuables collection & returns of patient’s person property. This is a high liability process. What we’re looking for High school diploma or equivalent required; three years of directly related experience may be substituted for the required education. Certifications: NCI within 30 days of hire/transfer Previous computer experience required, including familiarity with electronic health records (EHR) or registration systems. Strong critical thinking skills, decisive judgment, and ability to work independently with minimal supervision. Excellent customer service skills, with the ability to interact professionally with patients, families, and staff. Ability to work effectively in a high-volume, fast-paced, and sometimes stressful environment. Knowledge of medical terminology and hospital procedures; billing or collections experience strongly preferred. Detail-oriented, organized, and able to maintain accuracy while managing multiple tasks simultaneously.
