About The Position

As a Security Officer - Utilities Site - Full Time in Maidsville, WV, you will serve and safeguard clients in a range of industries such as Utilities, and more. As an unarmed patrol officer at a utilities location, you will monitor assigned areas, conduct routine patrols, and maintain a visible presence that may help to deter security-related incidents. You will support site operations with clear communication, helpful customer service, and timely reporting of observations. Requirements

Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.

Responsibilities

Provide customer service to the location by carrying out security-related procedures, site-specific policies, and/or emergency response activities appropriate to a utilities environment.
Respond to incidents, alarms, and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, and notify site leadership and/or Allied Universal management per post orders.
Conduct regular and random unarmed patrols of utility operations areas, access points, buildings, and perimeter routes to help to deter unauthorized activity and/or hazards.
Monitor and control access for employees, contractors, and visitors by verifying authorization, directing foot and vehicle traffic, and documenting entries, exits, and deliveries as required.
Complete detailed reports of patrol activity, incidents, and unusual conditions, and maintain logs and communications using site systems and/or Allied Universal tools.
