As a Security Officer Computer Assisted Patrol in Herndon, VA, you will serve and safeguard clients in a range of industries such as Commercial Real Estate, and more. Our Security Officers at a premier commercial real estate location monitor and patrol assigned areas, staying visible to help to deter security-related incidents while delivering outstanding customer service and communication. In this unarmed patrol role, you will support access awareness, respond to site needs, and work as part of an agile, reliable team that puts people first and acts with integrity.

Requirements

Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.

Nice To Haves

Being comfortable using a computer or tablet is preferred.
Customer service experience is preferred.
Access control and badge experience is preferred.

Responsibilities

Provide customer service to tenants, visitors, and/or staff by carrying out security-related procedures, site-specific policies, and when appropriate, emergency response activities at a commercial real estate location.
Respond to incidents, disturbances, and/or critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, documenting observations and reporting concerns to site contacts and/or Allied Universal leadership.
Conduct regular and random patrols throughout buildings, common areas, parking areas, and perimeter locations to help to deter unauthorized activity and identify unusual conditions.
Monitor access points, visitor activity, and/or tenant-related concerns while following post instructions and helping to support daily operations at the location.
Complete routine reports, incident documentation, and/or communication logs related to patrol activity, customer service interactions, and security-related events.
