Job Description As a Security Officer - Museum Patrol in Minneapolis, MN , you will serve and safeguard clients in a range of industries such as Hotels & Resorts, and more. Join Allied Universal at a hotel and resort location where you will monitor and patrol assigned areas, complete routine rounds, and maintain a visible presence to help to deter security-related incidents. You will greet guests and staff with professional customer service, communicate clearly with teams and management, and document observations and reports. Requirements

  • Have at least 1 year of security experience.
  • Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
  • Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws. Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
  • Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
  • A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.

Responsibilities

  • Provide customer service to guests, staff, and visitors by carrying out security-related procedures, site-specific policies, and when appropriate, emergency response activities at a hotel and/or resort location.
  • Conduct regular and random foot patrols of guest areas, back-of-house spaces, parking areas, and perimeter points to help to deter unwanted activity and/or policy violations.
  • Respond to incidents and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, including disturbances, medical calls, alarms, and/or guest concerns, and notify site leadership and/or emergency services as needed.
  • Monitor access points, check identification and/or credentials when assigned, manage visitor directions, and assist with crowd and/or event support while maintaining a professional presence.
  • Complete routine documentation such as incident reports, patrol logs, and activity reports, and communicate observations and follow-up needs to Allied Universal leadership and/or the client site team.
