Under the direction of the Chief of the International Security Section, and in collaboration with the Senior Security Officer (Ops), the Security Officer - Physical Security (Premises) is responsible for supporting the implementation and application of physical security standards for IMF overseas premises, providing day-to-day operational security input to Global Real Estate (GRE) - led projects and assisting with the continuous improvement of physical security practices through field implementation and project support. Primary functions include overseeing complex security risk assessments; identifying and recommending appropriate mitigation measures; supporting ongoing real estate projects with security input; and ensuring that all overseas facilities meet IMF and United Nations (UN) security requirements. The role also provides technical operational and advisory support on premises security to overseas offices and contributes to the IMF’s capacity to prepare for and respond to emergency situations. This is a 2-year long contractual position, renewable to a maximum term of 4 years. International travel is required (20 – 25% per year).
