Job Description As a Security Officer - Chemical Access Gate in La Porte, TX , you will serve and safeguard clients in a range of industries such as Chemical/Petrochemical, and more. As an Access Control Officer with Allied Universal at a chemical and petrochemical location, you will monitor and patrol designated areas, helping to deter security-related incidents and providing a visible presence. Your role includes conducting routine patrols, managing access points, and delivering outstanding customer service and communication. This is a driving post, so a valid driver's license is required. Requirements

A valid driver’s license is required in the state where the job is located.
A Transportation Worker Identification Credential issued by TSA is required.
Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.

Responsibilities

Perform access control duties at entry and exit points, verifying credentials and granting or denying entry as appropriate for a chemical or petrochemical location.
Monitor and document all visitor, contractor, and employee movements in accordance with site-specific policies and procedures.
Carry out security-related procedures and respond to incidents and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner.
Provide customer service by assisting employees, visitors, and contractors with questions related to access and site protocols.
Conduct regular and random patrols around the business and perimeter to help to deter unauthorized activity and observe any unusual conditions.
Report and document any security-related incidents, hazards, or maintenance concerns encountered during patrols or access control activities.
Support emergency response activities as directed by site policies and Allied Universal protocols.
