As a Security Officer Patrol Screening Specialist in Bronx, NY, you will serve and safeguard clients in a range of industries such as Government, and more. Join Allied Universal as an Unarmed Patrol Officer supporting a government location where you will monitor assigned areas, conduct routine patrols, stay visible to help deter security-related incidents, and assist with access activity as needed. Requirements

  • Proof of high school diploma or GED is required.
  • Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
  • Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
  • Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
  • Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
  • A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.

Responsibilities

  • Provide customer service by carrying out security-related procedures, site-specific policies, and/or emergency response activities appropriate to a government service location.
  • Respond to incidents, disturbances, and/or critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner while communicating with site personnel, visitors, and public agency representatives.
  • Conduct regular and random patrols throughout the location, including interior areas, exterior grounds, entry points, and perimeter areas, noting unusual activity and reporting concerns through proper channels.
  • Monitor access to the location by observing entrances and exits, verifying authorized entry when required, and documenting visitor, staff, and/or contractor activity in accordance with site policies.
  • Complete detailed incident reports, daily activity logs, and/or other required documentation, and assist with de-escalation support during interactions involving clients, visitors, and staff.
