About The Position

As a Security Officer - Full Time in Schaumburg, IL, you will serve and safeguard clients in a range of industries such as Manufacturing & Industrial, and more. Requirements

• Possess an armed guard card and/or license.
• Be at least 21 years of age for armed roles.
• Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
• Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
• Participate in industry-specific security training programs.
• Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
• A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.

Responsibilities

• Provide customer service to employees, visitors, and/or vendors by carrying out security-related procedures, site-specific policies, and when appropriate, emergency response activities at an industrial location.
• Respond to incidents, unusual activity, and/or critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, and communicate relevant information to site contacts and/or emergency personnel as needed.
• Conduct regular and random patrols throughout production areas, warehouse spaces, parking areas, and the exterior perimeter to help identify and report suspicious activity, hazards, and/or policy violations.
• Monitor access points and help control entry and exit activity by observing credentials, visitor traffic, deliveries, and/or vehicle movement in accordance with site procedures.
• Complete routine reports and document observations, incidents, and/or patrol activity to support site awareness and follow-up.
