As an Unarmed Patrol Officer with Allied Universal at an aerospace and defense location, you will monitor and patrol assigned areas, complete routine rounds, and stay visible to help to deter security-related incidents. You will control access points, respond to reports and/or alarms, document activities, and support employees and visitors with professional customer service. Requirements

  • Comfortable using a computer or tablet is preferred.
  • Access control and/or badge experience is preferred.
  • Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
  • Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
  • Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
  • Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
  • A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.

Responsibilities

  • Provide customer service to site personnel and visitors by following security-related procedures, site-specific policies, and when appropriate, emergency response activities at an aerospace and defense location.
  • Conduct regular and random patrols of buildings, production areas, parking lots, and perimeter points to help to deter unwanted activity and identify maintenance and/or security-related concerns.
  • Control access at designated entry points by verifying identification and authorizations, managing visitor processing, and directing traffic flow according to post orders.
  • Respond to alarms, incidents, and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, coordinating with site contacts and public responders as needed.
  • Complete reports and logs, document patrol observations and incidents, and communicate key information during shift turnovers.
