Job Description As a Security Officer - Weekday Full-Time Patrol in East Dubuque, IL , you will serve and safeguard clients in a range of industries such as Chemical/Petrochemical, and more. Join Allied Universal as an unarmed patrol officer at a chemical and petrochemical location, where you will monitor and patrol assigned areas, conduct routine rounds, and stay highly visible to help to deter security-related incidents. You will respond to alarms and reports, document observations, and support employees and visitors with clear communication and customer-focused service. Requirements

  • Possess a TSA issued TWIC.
  • Provide proof of a high school diploma and/or GED as required by the client.
  • Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
  • Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
  • Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
  • Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
  • A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.

Nice To Haves

  • Be able to lift more than 20 lbs preferred.
  • Have customer service experience preferred.
  • Have alarm panel experience preferred.

Responsibilities

  • Provide customer service to personnel and visitors by following Allied Universal and site-specific procedures, access control requirements, and/or emergency response activities at an industrial chemical processing location.
  • Respond to incidents and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, including notifying site contacts and/or public responders and assisting with area control as directed.
  • Conduct regular and random patrols of buildings, production areas, and the perimeter to help to deter unauthorized activity and identify unusual conditions; working environments and conditions may vary by post.
  • Monitor alarms, cameras, and process-area notifications when assigned, and report suspicious activity, hazards, and/or maintenance issues through the established chain of communication.
  • Complete detailed written and electronic reports, logbook entries, and shift briefings, including documenting incidents, patrol findings, and access control activity per site policy.
