As an unarmed patrol officer at a world-class cultural institution, you will monitor and patrol public spaces, back-of-house areas, and perimeters, completing routine rounds and staying highly visible to help to deter security-related incidents. You will greet guests, assist staff and visitors, and communicate clearly while documenting observations using site tools. Requirements

  • Have at least 2 years of security-related experience.
  • Be at least 21 years of age.
  • Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
  • Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
  • Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
  • A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.

Nice To Haves

  • A state, county, and/or city issued security license is preferred.
  • Being comfortable using a computer or tablet is preferred.
  • Customer service experience is preferred.

Responsibilities

  • Provide customer service to visitors, staff, and/or performers by carrying out security-related procedures, site-specific policies, and when appropriate, emergency response activities within a performing arts venue.
  • Monitor entrances, lobbies, galleries, and/or event spaces; verify credentials, manage access control points, and help maintain orderly guest flow during arrivals, intermissions, and departures.
  • Respond to incidents and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, including contacting site leadership and/or emergency services as required and completing incident reports.
  • Conduct regular and random patrols throughout interior public areas, backstage corridors as directed, and exterior perimeter areas; working environments and conditions may vary by post and event schedule.
  • Observe and report unusual activity, hazards, and/or policy violations; assist with patron concerns, lost and found inquiries, and direction to venue resources as needed.
