Requirements

  • Candidate is Required to Have 1+ Years of Previous Security Experience
  • Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
  • Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
  • Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
  • Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
  • A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.

Nice To Haves

  • Being comfortable using a computer or tablet is preferred.
  • Having customer service experience is preferred.
  • Being able to lift up to 20 lbs is preferred.

Responsibilities

  • Provide customer service by carrying out security-related screening procedures, site-specific policies, and/or emergency response activities at a government location.
  • Screen visitors and employees at entry points using walkthrough metal detectors, hand wands, x-ray or property screening methods, and visual inspections as permitted by post orders.
  • Verify identification, manage visitor sign-in and credentialing, and direct individuals to the appropriate checkpoint, office, and/or waiting area while maintaining an orderly screening queue.
  • Respond to incidents and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, including reporting prohibited items, alarms, and/or suspicious activity per site protocols.
  • Complete required logs, incident documentation, and communication with site personnel and Allied Universal supervision to help to deter policy violations and support security-related operations.
