Job Description As a Security Officer in Irving, TX , you will serve and safeguard clients in a range of industries such as Aero/Defense, and more. As a Patrol Unarmed Officer with Allied Universal, you will monitor and patrol assigned aerospace and defense locations, maintaining a visible presence to help to deter security-related incidents. You will conduct routine patrols, respond to alarms, and provide exceptional customer service and communication. Requirements

Must have at least 2 years of security-related experience.
Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.

Nice To Haves

Being comfortable using a computer or tablet is preferred.
Alarm panel experience is preferred.
Customer service experience is preferred.

Responsibilities

Provide customer service to clients by carrying out security-related procedures, site-specific policies, and, when appropriate, emergency response activities.
Respond to incidents and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner.
Conduct regular and random patrols around the facility and its perimeter to help to deter unauthorized activity and/or suspicious behavior.
Monitor access points and assist with controlling entry to restricted areas as required by site protocols.
Observe and report any unusual or suspicious activity, hazards, or maintenance issues encountered during patrols.
Maintain clear and accurate documentation of activities, incidents, and/or observations as required by Allied Universal and client protocols.
Collaborate with site personnel and law enforcement as needed during emergencies and/or incidents.
Remain alert to changes in the environment that may impact security-related procedures or emergency response protocols.
