Job Description As a Security Officer in Irving, TX , you will serve and safeguard clients in a range of industries such as Aero/Defense, and more. As a Patrol Unarmed Officer with Allied Universal, you will monitor and patrol assigned aerospace and defense locations, maintaining a visible presence to help to deter security-related incidents. You will conduct routine patrols, respond to alarms, and provide exceptional customer service and communication. Requirements

  • Must have at least 2 years of security-related experience.
  • Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
  • Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
  • Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
  • Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
  • A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.

Nice To Haves

  • Being comfortable using a computer or tablet is preferred.
  • Alarm panel experience is preferred.
  • Customer service experience is preferred.

Responsibilities

  • Provide customer service to clients by carrying out security-related procedures, site-specific policies, and, when appropriate, emergency response activities.
  • Respond to incidents and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner.
  • Conduct regular and random patrols around the facility and its perimeter to help to deter unauthorized activity and/or suspicious behavior.
  • Monitor access points and assist with controlling entry to restricted areas as required by site protocols.
  • Observe and report any unusual or suspicious activity, hazards, or maintenance issues encountered during patrols.
  • Maintain clear and accurate documentation of activities, incidents, and/or observations as required by Allied Universal and client protocols.
  • Collaborate with site personnel and law enforcement as needed during emergencies and/or incidents.
  • Remain alert to changes in the environment that may impact security-related procedures or emergency response protocols.
