Requirements

  • Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles
  • Possess a high school diploma or equivalent
  • Subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws
  • Subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law
  • Meet licensing requirements subject to state and/or local laws and regulations, if required prior to employment

Responsibilities

  • Provide customer service to staff, visitors, patients, and vendors by carrying out site-specific procedures, access-related protocols, and when appropriate, emergency response activities within a healthcare location.
  • Respond to incidents, unusual activity, and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, documenting observations and reporting security-related concerns to site contacts and/or Allied Universal leadership.
  • Conduct regular and random patrols throughout the facility, campus grounds, parking areas, and perimeter to help to deter unauthorized activity and identify conditions that may require attention.
  • Monitor entrances, exits, and common areas to help support authorized access, visitor management, and compliance with location policies and/or post instructions.
  • Assist with medical-related emergency calls, disturbance calls, and other service requests by communicating clearly with staff and/or first responders and following post orders.
