About The Position

The SECURITY OFFICER (Part Time) for Island View Casino & Beach Resort is responsible for safeguarding property assets and ensuring the casino environment is safe and secure for patrons and employees of the casino, as well as being responsible for the physical safety of guests, employees, and company assets and is required to greet internal and external guests, maintain a friendly and inviting atmosphere, and promote positive guest relations through prompt, courteous, and efficient service. The Security Officer is also responsible for escorting chips, cash, and table game drops, ensures that no unauthorized persons enter the gaming floor by checking credentials/Identification. Quickly responds to any emergency situation as required, reports any criminal or suspicious activity and will be required to Initiate and prepare security incident reports daily.

Requirements

High school diploma or GED required
MUST be able to obtain a Mississippi Gaming Permit
Able to learn and follow detailed security manual and procedures
Skill in preparing clear, concise, accurate, and complete written reports
Must have an ongoing working knowledge of emergency response procedures

Nice To Haves

Prior security, safety, or loss prevention experience preferred
