Requirements

Be at least 21+ years of age.
Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.

A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.

Nice To Haves

Access Control/Badge Experience is preferred.
Customer Service Experience is preferred.
Comfortable Using Computer or Tablet is preferred.

Responsibilities

Provide customer service to students, faculty, staff, and visitors by following Allied Universal security-related procedures and site-specific policies at the front desk.
Monitor access to the location by greeting entrants, verifying identification and/or authorization as required, and directing visitors to appropriate departments or check-in points.
Answer phones, manage visitor logs, issue badges and/or temporary passes, and document security-related activity in reports and shift logs.
Respond to incidents and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, including notifying appropriate campus contacts and/or emergency responders per post orders.
Observe the lobby and surrounding entry areas for unusual activity, assist with property checks when requested, and help to deter unauthorized access through presence and communication.
