As a Screener with Allied Universal at a leading healthcare location, you will help manage access points by greeting patients, visitors, and staff, checking identification, supporting entry screening procedures, and watching for unusual activity. You will communicate clearly, document security-related events, and partner with clinical teams during high-traffic moments to help maintain smooth operations. Requirements
- Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
- Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
- As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
- Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
- As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
- Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
- A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.
Responsibilities
- Provide customer service to patients, visitors, and staff by following Allied Universal security-related procedures, site-specific policies, and when appropriate, emergency response activities at a healthcare location.
- Conduct entrance screening operations, including monitoring access points, verifying identification and/or credentials, managing visitor sign-in, and checking for prohibited items per site policy.
- Respond to incidents and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, coordinating with site leadership and/or emergency responders as directed.
- Monitor cameras, alarms, radios, and other access control systems, documenting security-related activities and reporting irregular conditions per post orders.
- Conduct regular and random patrols around the facility and perimeter to help to deter unauthorized activity and/or policy violations; working environments and conditions may vary by location.
