Requirements

  • High school diploma or equivalent preferred. Associate’s degree or higher in any discipline.
  • Service in the active-duty military, military reserve or National Guard Service in auxiliary police or cadets.
  • Minimum of one year verifiable and successful security experience.
  • Six (6) months or more experience involving direct customer interaction preferred.
  • Current and valid driver’s license with a clear driving record.
  • Requires critical thinking skills, decisive judgment and the ability to work with minimal supervision.
  • Must be able to work in a stressful environment and take appropriate action.
  • Proficient computer skills including Microsoft Office.
  • Able to communicate effectively in English, both verbally and in writing.

Nice To Haves

  • Prior security experience in a healthcare environment preferred.

Responsibilities

  • Performs proactive monitoring of and timely responses to potential/actual security threats.
  • Investigates and manages all security incidents and hazards on the premises.
  • Maintains knowledge of and follows policies and procedures regarding alarms and emergency/disaster preparedness plans. Facilitates planned drills and simulations.
  • Provides information and assistance to staff and visitors to promote their safety on the premises.
