About The Position

The Security Officer at Marriott International headquarters plays a vital role in fostering an exceptional environment for both associates and visitors. This role will manage the daily operations of the ID Office, ensuring timely support for associates, visitors, and internal partners. It oversees badge processing, system access updates, and the accuracy of staffing and entry records. The position supports HQ security operations as needed and collaborates with crossfunctional teams to resolve issues and maintain service standards. Requirements

  • High school diploma/GED equivalent
  • 2+ years of relevant experience
  • Must obtain Maryland Guard Card Certification with 30 days of employment with Marriott Headquarters.

Responsibilities

  • Greet associates, guest and assist where needed.
  • Manage daily operations of ID office – answering phone, email requests, and other inquiries.
  • Ensure that the ID office is always manned except during breaks.
  • Ensure no other associates are socializing and hanging out in the ID office.
  • Organize and clean out the ID office - making sure all space is used reasonably and efficiently.
  • Ensure that all emails from the last shift worked are to be read and responded to by end of the workday.
  • Ensure that all voicemails are checked, and calls returned by the end of the workday.
  • Ensure that all invoices are forwarded to the senior manager as soon as received for payment.
  • Conduct badge processing procedures for new hires, lost badge, terminations, and renewals.
  • Create associate profiles to allow system and building access.
  • Ensure that all new associate and parking information is added into the Andover system as soon as possible.
  • Ensure that all supplies are ordered as soon as request is received and before supplies run out, and confirmed with supervisors.
  • Regulate associate terminations.
  • Ensure prioritizing of deactivation requests ASAP and confirm deactivation with the requestor.
  • Submit requests on Identity Shoppe and Service Now Ticketing System.
  • Perform daily and weekly system checks for data errors.
  • Provide, maintain and submit a variety of staffing and entry reports for senior leadership.
  • Serve as the central contact for security issues and associate-related inquiries.
  • Works closely with other departments to escalate to the appropriate team, assist with various tasks, and ensure problem resolution.
  • Train team members on various programs and operating systems.
  • Ensure that all special requests by specific people/groups are handled as soon as possible.
  • Ensure that all supervisor requests are followed through.
  • Support security when needed.
