As an unarmed Patrol Officer at a utilities location, you will monitor assigned areas, conduct routine patrols, and remain highly visible to help to deter security-related incidents. You will document observations, communicate clearly with site contacts and/or visitors, and respond to routine service needs with professionalism. Requirements

• At this site there are limited on-site facilities such as portable toilets and rustic guard shacks.
• Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
• Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
• Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
• Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
• A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.

Nice To Haves

• Access control and/or badge experience is preferred.
• A guard card and/or license is preferred.
• Being comfortable using a computer and/or tablet is preferred.
• Customer service experience is preferred.

Responsibilities

• Provide customer service to personnel and visitors by following post orders, site-specific policies, and/or emergency response activities at a utilities location.
• Respond to alarms, incidents, and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, coordinating with site contacts and public responders as directed.
• Conduct regular and random patrols of buildings, yards, parking areas, and perimeter lines, watching for irregular activity and conditions that may help to deter unauthorized access.
• Control access through gates and entry points by verifying identification, issuing temporary credentials as directed, and documenting deliveries and contractor activity per site procedures.
• Complete detailed reports of security-related activity, incidents, and patrol observations, and communicate relevant information to oncoming personnel and site leadership.
