As a Security Officer Community Patrol Agent in Alexandria, VA, you will serve and safeguard clients in industries such as Logistics & Distribution. This is a Part-Time Security Officer role offering flexibility to build a schedule and explore new roles using the Claim a Shift platform. As an Unarmed Patrol Officer at a busy logistics and distribution location, you will conduct routine patrols, maintain a visible presence to help discourage security-related incidents, and support people on site through strong customer service and communication. Requirements

• Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
• Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
• Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
• A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.

Nice To Haves

• Access control and badge experience is preferred.
• Comfort using a computer or tablet is preferred.
• Customer service experience is preferred.

Responsibilities

• Provide customer service by carrying out security-related procedures, site-specific policies, and/or appropriate emergency response activities at a logistics and distribution location.
• Respond to incidents, access concerns, and/or critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, and report observations according to site protocols.
• Conduct regular and random patrols throughout the facility, trailer yards, loading and unloading areas, parking areas, and perimeter to help to deter unauthorized activity and/or unusual behavior.
• Monitor entrances, exits, and shipping and receiving areas, and document security-related activity, visitor interactions, and/or incident details in accordance with site requirements.
• Support orderly operations by communicating with site contacts, employees, drivers, and visitors regarding post instructions, access procedures, and/or location rules.
